Go check out American singer, rapper, actress, and dancer Willow Smith (WILLOW) this weekend at The Fillmore Silver Spring! After her very first single “Whip My Hair” hit #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, Smith was nominated for Video of the Year at the BET Awards of 2011 and then signed to Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation, becoming the youngest artist signed to the label. Her recent music spans many genres, weaving between alternative R&B, neo soul, hip hop, EDM, and pop punk. All of these come through in her more recent works, such as her third studio album “Willow”, a collaborative album with Tyler Cole entitled “The Anxiety”, and “Transparent Soul” Featuring Travis Barker. Her newest album, “Lately I Feel Everything”, features artists including Tierra Whack and Avril Lavigne.
