Just over a month after releasing their first album, Vacation Manor isn’t slowing down, releasing a stripped-down “Midnight” version of the most popular track on their album, “If Only For Tonight.”
Lynchburg, Va.-based Vacation Manor formed after the four-piece played at a 2014 battle of the bands competition in Washington, D.C. Originally coming from separate bands, their success in the competition encouraged them to play together. They have released original singles and EPs since 2016, garnering millions of streams.
Vacation Manor’s self-titled debut album came out on June 11. Its bright sound offers an easy and pleasant listening experience that appeals to listeners of all genres. The most popular song on the album, “If Only For Tonight,” explores a yearning for freedom, while acknowledging the fear that comes with that. The Midnight version was released on July 22. It offers a more somber tone by stripping down the electronic elements.
Fans of The Band CAMINO, COIN, or Hippo Campus would enjoy Vacation Manor’s music. Their music has a popular sound while maintaining its individuality and uniqueness.
