U.K. Actress Eliza Bennett Releases “Hate To Love You”, First Single from Debut E.P.

Reflecting on heartbreak isn’t easy, and this is something Eliza Bennett, an actress/artist from the U.K., has incorporated into her newest single, “Hate To Love You”.

As someone who watched Inkheart and Nanny McPhee over and over as a little girl, I am honored to talk about how gripping and noteworthy this song is from her upcoming debut E.P., Late Twenties, “which covers five snapshots in the last decade of my life,” she says. “Certain moments in your life can contort and meld into the fabric of who you are; moving to a new city, a toxic friendship, a long distant love. These are mine.”

“Hate To Love You” was written by Bennett and produced by Andy Mak and Thom Mak. It is emotional and piano-driven, and consists of Bennett’s raw and rich voice.  The chorus comes in powerfully and the bridge hits perfectly and is meant to be screamed along to.

Bennett takes us on a journey full of relatable emotions – “of moving somewhere new, and the trials and tribulations of feeling engulfed by a city. The song reflects the love/hate relationship she faced moving from a small town in England to Los Angeles and how L.A. became the ‘bad boyfriend she couldn’t leave’.”

Fans of artists Ashe, Lily Allen, Lana Del Rey, and Benee will find comfort in Bennett’s sound. “Hate to Love You” marks the first of multiple singles to be released this year.
