Spiritual Pop Artist Cynthia Angelica Releases Music Video for Single “By Your Side”

Maryland-based spiritual pop artist Cynthia Angelica recently released her fourth single, “By Your Side”, along with its new music video produced by LJR Creative.

The performance-style video depicts Angelica gracefully playing piano against a shimmering blue backdrop, illuminated in a dark room with empty tables and chairs. Its cinematic shots match the song’s flow and experiment with creative angles, seemingly in one take.

“By Your Side” immediately draws you in with its production, then with Angelica’s passionate vocals and lyrics. “I’m by your side / Take these wings and fly / Have faith my child / Remember that you’re mine,” she sings in the chorus. You can see, hear, and feel the emotion behind these words she has for people who are feeling alone.

“My new single is about letting go of things that weigh you down and facing uncertainty with curiosity and courage, which is certainly much easier said than done,” said Cynthia Angelica. “Maybe for some of us, this involves facing our fear or breaking negative patterns – or all of the above. And perhaps most importantly, ‘By Your Side’ reminds us that despite what it feels like, we are not alone.”

“By Your Side” follows this emerging artist’s singles “Grace” and “Flatline” from her forthcoming debut album, as well as holiday single, “Peace Like Snow.” “Grace” was voted as a finalist for Best Gospel/Inspirational Song in the 2023 Wammie Awards.

Cynthia Angelica’s gospel music roots are evident with influences ranging from Tori Amos to Kim Walker-Smith to Richard Smallwood. She is a natural storyteller and lifelong musician who joins the D.C. area music scene with more than a decade of experience as a higher education executive ghostwriter and freelance writer. She is now putting pen to paper to share her own message, one that inspires listeners to believe in all they are and can become. This spiritual song certainly showcases her lyrical talent and developed voice, especially shining in the bridge and the vocals that close out the beautiful track.
