Roxercat Finds Treasure in “Pearls” EP

Nashville rock band, Roxercat, brings something new and shiny with their latest EP, Pearls, putting their prog rock prowess on full display. Collecting their two debut singles, “I Changed Today” along with the title track “Pearls”, the EP rounds out with 4 brand-new tracks that are equally as engaging.

The EP spans an array of topics and themes including the big shift into the digital age, love and relationships, living through uncertain times, and changes in perspective. About the title track, singer and songwriter Price Jones says that it’s “about surrounding yourself with people that believe in you – and you in them – and always holding on to your dreams.”

Musically, the EP jumps around sampling a bunch of different genres as it moves from song to song. Where “Pearls” takes the more traditional path of the singer-songwriter ballad, “Crime” follows it up with a full-fledged funkadelic outfit complete with bouncing bass lines, light synthesizers, and ripping solo guitar lines. The band’s range is impressive and the overall songwriting is pristine and thoughtful.

Pearls is available now on major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, TIDAL, and Deezer.
