Nobody Famous Knows What It Is To Be “Overlooked”

by Linc Bradham

Ethereal guitar samples, glitchy soundscapes, and groovy pocket beats all provide a backdrop to NOBODY FAMOUS’ offering of smooth pop hip hop vocals to the Irish music scene. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, they’ve been active in the scene for a little over a year now. While not quite as upbeat and bright as another pop hip hop duo that has found great success stateside, that being, of course, Surfaces…NOBODY FAMOUS, comprised of producer/vocalist Jack Murphy and guitarist/vocalist Jake Hackett, still has a similar energy coupled with their own more dark and introspective take on the colorful and vibrant synth-heavy pop hip hop duo.

Their newest single, “Overlooked”, released on February 15. “Overlooked” is an incredibly well-produced and imagery-heavy piece of art. The synths are impeccable, the panning of different instruments satisfying, the vocals and harmonies fresh and exciting. A very solid foray with glimpses of influences like Billie Eilish and Kid Cudi, the dark and synth heavy emotive tour de fource OVERLOOKED can be heard in this official music video:

K Folks Wants You to “Save Your Love”

Kaelab Riyan Folks is a singer/songwriter from Staunton, VA. Short and sweet, his genre consists of a pop-like R&B sound. He is known as a hopeless romantic, and he likes to make his music about the realistic emotional encounters he has faced. We are just beginning to learn about him, but we see a ton of potential going forward!

His newest track is called, “Save Your Love” it definitely fits into his genre range. The piano chords that are the center piece of the instrumental are simple, but has that pop-element we look for that keeps your head bopping. His vocals are impressive, as he sings, “Save Your Love” during the hook which will easily get stuck in the listener’s head. One of our favorite parts of the track are his ability to vocally harmonize in areas. Check out the track below.
