Nikaa’s “Joy” Could Be Your Own

Linc Bradham

With a voice as honest and smooth as Dua Lipa’s, yet with an air of maturity and soul like that of an early Nina Simone or Etta James, Nikaa brings an East London skill and flair curated well beyond her
age of just 19 years. Following a pair of successful singles along with multiple artist features and competitions, Nikaa’s newest single, “Joy”, will release on 26 February 2021.

Growing up in the London theatre and graduating into the live circuit soon after, Nikaa was one of the top five finalists in the 2020 European VANS Musician’s Wanted Competition, receiving a nod from none other than Anderson.Paak, amongst others. With such accolades already under her belt, Nikaa is well on her way to eventually meeting her ultimate goal of selling out Wembley Stadium while enjoying the
experience of making music to the utmost along the way. Her newest single, Joy, brings her staple soothing and elegant vibes coupled with a sugary, honeyed voice all combined with a stripped-down production that lets her voice shine to its fullest. Listen to Nikaa’s “Joy” here, and be sure to follow her for what is already showing to be a very promising career:

K Folks Wants You to “Save Your Love”

Kaelab Riyan Folks is a singer/songwriter from Staunton, VA. Short and sweet, his genre consists of a pop-like R&B sound. He is known as a hopeless romantic, and he likes to make his music about the realistic emotional encounters he has faced. We are just beginning to learn about him, but we see a ton of potential going forward!

His newest track is called, “Save Your Love” it definitely fits into his genre range. The piano chords that are the center piece of the instrumental are simple, but has that pop-element we look for that keeps your head bopping. His vocals are impressive, as he sings, “Save Your Love” during the hook which will easily get stuck in the listener’s head. One of our favorite parts of the track are his ability to vocally harmonize in areas. Check out the track below.
