New Music Video “Miss Marietta” by Schreiner

Combining soulful vocals, overdriven guitar riffs, and hypnotic rhythms, Northern Virginia based rock trio Schreiner is a truly unique experience. After nearly two decades of distinguished work in music performance, production, pedagogy, and composition, frontman and multi-instrument virtuoso, John Schreiner started the work in late 2017. Shortly after, he immersed himself in writing their upcoming debut album: Kingdom From. Recorded with veteran producer and engineer Ben Green, at his newly renovated gem, Ivakota Studio in Washington D.C., the ten song project seamlessly fuses a broad range of stylistic disciplines with powerful, personal subject material. The combined wealth of technical mastery, rich life-experiences, and weatherworn maturity represented in the effort is both moving and unmissable. With the release of their debut and a relentless pursuit of mastery, Schreiner continues to prove themselves as one of the Mid-Atlantic region’s premier live acts every time they touch the stage.

“Miss Marietta” is performed by Schreiner (www.schreinermusic.com), written by John Schreiner, Zach Schreiner, and Zach Miller. Schreiner’s debut album “Kingdom From” is available now on Spotify, Amazon, Itunes, and all major platforms. Recorded at Ivakota Studios in Washington DC Produced by Green Beret Media, LLC.

Foghat’s Roger Earl Refuses to Slow His Ride

By this point in his life, Foghat founding drummer Roger Earl has visited quite a few doctors. But what may be surprising is that the percussionist, 77, is quick to point out that many of the medical professionals who have worked on him also enjoy rocking out.

“Nearly all the doctors and surgeons I know, they all play something: trumpet, sax, violin, guitar,” Earl said recently. “There’s not too many drummers that are surgeons, there’s probably a good reason for that!”

Earl half-jokingly invites his surgeon-rockers to join him and the other members of Foghat onstage at the Fillmore in Silver Spring March 9, where they will be headlining the Rock and Roll for Children Foundation benefit for the Children’s Inn at NIH. Earl, the only original member of Foghat still in the band, will be banging the skins behind guitarist Bryan Bassett and other members Scott Holt and Rodney O’Quinn. “Slow Ride,” the band’s 1975 megahit, is all but assured to be on the setlist, along with tunes from Foghat’s most recent record, “Sonic Mojo.”
