Ontario, Canada-based rock band, Luke Warm and the Cold Ones, have released their newest single, “Devils Working Late,” today. The song is an inspiring one, reflecting upon singer Greg Chomut (Luke Warm) and his experience with becoming a father.

Luke Warm and the Cold Ones continue growing their discography, since their formation in 2014 at a party hosted by Chomut. “For that show, we had three weeks to prepare for it, and I just think some good songs came out of that crunch,” Chomut says. “It just seemed like a good thing that we didn’t want to let go.” Carlo DeAgazio (Lead Guitar), Hillary McDowell (Piano/Vocals), Kyle Oikonen (Rhythm Guitar/vocals), and Angus Haapa (Drums) currently reside as fellow members of the band.

Though the single carries a punk rock type of feeling, “Devils Working Late” grounds itself in classic rock with Chomut’s deep voice and the electric guitar. The lyrics reflect Chomut’s own experience with the major transition of fatherhood, and having everything revolve around caring for someone else. Missing going out with friends and having responsibilities somewhere else can feel isolating, which is reflected in the track’s lyrics.

And the door wide open

It looks real’ nice but I’m not going in

I’m just looking for a place to hide

One more night, and I’ll be alright
