I thought it’d be fun to have a little fun while we’re in quarantine so I’m throwing a kids singalong this Friday at 1 PM EST! I’ll be singing classic kids songs like The Wheels on The Bus, Down By the Bay, Hop Little Bunnies, the ABC’s, etc. so I hope you can come on over to my Facebook page and sing with me!
If you know you’ll be attending and your child loves one song in particular, feel free to send me a request ahead of time ;)If you have percussion instruments hanging around the house (that could anything from egg shakers to rattles, to a pot and a wooden spoon), fee free to bring those out too. Even if your little one is too young to sing, they can shake along with the music!
A songwriter by the age of 15, Karla Bonhoff has been entertaining audiences for decades. Native to Southern California, she came up in the L.A. circuit of the hippie era, where artists such as Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and so many others were continuously floating in and out of one another’s orbits. Bonoff and singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor will jointly perform at the Birchmere in Alexandria Dec. 11. Together, they will tackle new and established variations on Christmas favorites, as well as toss in their original tunes.
