Get Your Life with ‘I’m The Best’ by NOVI NOV

By Charlie Maybee

Sometimes you come across a song with a rhythm so catchy, you can’t help stopping what you’re doing to bounce around to it. That’s definitely the case with NOVI NOV’s new single “I’m The Best,” which released on March 15.

Pennsylvania-based artist, NOVI NOV (otherwise known as Micöl Scott Rankin), wants you to know that he’s not turning down for anything. This is a song filled with self-assured positivity that stands at a confident attention.

Leading with a boastful and can-do attitude, “I’m The Best” is driven primarily by a syncopated horn section over top of an electronic dance beat. The marching band/drumline-feel of the whole thing give it a natural peppiness that is infectious and lends itself to impromptu dance breaks. NOVI NOV leans into the good vibes and uses it as a background for uplifiting himself consistently coming back to the main repetitive mantra of the song “I think I’m the best.”

Whether you find the beat extremely danceable, or you just need some energetic uplift, this is a perfect song to start the day with. It will leave you energized in a state of calm, happiness with the natural radiance and percussion coming out of every note. NOVI NOV notes, “This song is simply a song about marching to the beat of your own drum. Believing in yourself with reckless abandon. Thinking YOU ARE THE BEST!”
