“Forces of Nature” may very well be the only pop song inspired by astrophysics. Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s hit TV series “Cosmos” served as inspiration for this upbeat tune. Scott Manley’s strong rock drums, Eamonn Donnelly’s punchy bass lines, and Joshua Hunter’s reverberating, atmospheric guitars breathe life into this dreamy song that wistfully contemplates the laws of the universe and our place within it.

Washington, DC-based songstress Maryjo Mattea captivates audiences with her uniquely melodic songwriting and hauntingly beautiful voice. Mattea’s music, which has garnered comparisons to Alanis Morissette, Liz Phair, and Jenny Lewis is the perfect hybrid of polished pop and raw rock.
