Evol Walks Takes No Prisoners in “Back Where You Belong”

Originally formed in Los Angeles, the hard rock aficionados, Evol Walks, has been settled in Stockholm, Sweden since the pandemic where they have been working on new material for a full-length album release. The wait for a leading single earlier this year with “Drag Me Down” and now the band is back with the follow-up single, “Back Where You Belong” which continues their triumphant charge into the fray.

Accompanied by an official lyric video full of fire and rage, Evol Walks shows that they have not slowed down one bit since their pandemic retreat. The band’s vocalist Leah Martin-Brown gets blunt with her lyrics as she sings, “Ripped off your mask / Showed what you’ve done / I’m calling you out with this fucking song” through the chorus.

Backed by larger-than-life riffs that chug along with extreme heaviness produced with some pop sensibilities, Martin-Brown says, “’Back Where You Belong’ is the breakup song written in hell for the person struggling with their inner demons.” It would be in our best interest to steer clear of her rage, but compulsion to sit in the fires of Evol Walks’ music is challenging to resist. Huge choruses, scathing verses, and a breakdown worthy of a festival sized mosh pit tout the power of the band’s hold over its audience.

“Back Where You Belong” is available on major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. The official music video is also available on YouTube. Find this and more exciting new music on our Alchemical Multigenre Mixdown playlist on YouTube and Spotify.
