Elle Mitchell Honors School Shooting Victims With ‘Hold On To Neverland’

Elle Mitchell’s upcoming track, ‘Hold On To Neverland’, honors the victims of the recent Uvalde school shooting.

The D.C.-based artist is only 17. She began her musical journey releasing indie-pop music for about two years, but as she matures, her sound matures with her. She hopes to “evoke a sense of timelessness and mysticality through her lyrics and overall sound.” Later this year, she plans to release her first full length album, after having dropped five singles.

Her latest song has a noble message and contributes to a great cause.

“I was inspired to write this song in light of the recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, and have chosen to dedicate this song to the countless victims of school shootings across the country,” Elle explained.

All proceeds from the song will go to to the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to protecting children from gun violence and creating safer schools.

Musically, the song is nostalgic, wistful, peaceful, and sorrowful.

Fans of Clairo or TEMPOREX should check out Elle Mitchell’s track.
