DuPont Brass strikes gold again with another single from their June 2020 album, Music Education. “Drippin” covers a lot of lyrical, musical, and emotionally uplifting territory all on its. What is perhaps the video’s most impactful moment is right at the start as we see a man alone with a mirror, followed by that familiar feeling of self-analysis and sometimes criticism. Then, twenty-seconds in there is transformation from that scene to the introduction of all the members of DuPont Brass band and the rain that falls in the background symbolizing the song’s message of recognizing and accentuating all the positive, the love, and the ability to shift both your personal and worldview toward hope and optimism. Remind yourself you’re “Drippin.”
