Detroit rapper, Tee Grizzley has released the music video for his new single “Afterlife.” The song is the lead single from his upcoming mixtape, which is scheduled for release this spring.

“Afterlife” is Tee Grizzley’s first single since his critically-acclaimed album, Built For Whatever, which includes features from rap moguls such as Big Sean, Quavo, Young Dolph, Lil Durk, G Herbo, King Von, YNW Melly, Lil TJay, as well as Detroit natives Allstar Lee, Mu, and Baby Grizzley.

The single is a vulnerable track for Tee Grizzley, contrasting his past with his present. The afterlife serves as a metaphor, comparing death with change or transition to a new life, or a kind of resurrection. Directed by Ben Mar, the “Afterlife” music video features the rapper at the piano, in between shots of a drug raid.

“I rap about real life. I don’t have any reason to lie,” said Tee Grizzley about the single. “If I said it, then it is what it is, whether it’s about trials or triumphs.”

So if you are fan of Lil Yachty and Kodak Black should check out Tee Grizzley’s new music video for the single, “Afterlife.” The single is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, SoundCloud, and YouTube.
