DMV music scene recording artist Melissa Quinn Fox received the Wammie Award for Best Country/Americana Song, “Back There,” released in 2021. Her first single of 2022, “Running On Empty” shows her personal and emotive tracks will be a contender again next year.

Our introduction to the music of Air Quotes, “Not A Teacup,” is by no means the band’s first foray into the world of cinematic storytelling. Since 2019, Air Quotes has infused an orchestral, Hanz Zimmer approach which fans of Woodkid and Queen will strongly identify with.
Zach Hood shows how the responsibility of a great song and video is firstly to stir up strong emotion. There’s nothing overly complicated about the music, the lyrics, or the video’s production; Just a well crafted and personal song about a broken heart that we feel listeners will really empathize with.
