The Festival is an emotive and deliberate album that feels very much like a direct connection with the artist occasionally augmented with additional instrumentation or vocals. The album feels like an album should feel; with ups and downs, twists and turns, and surprises along the way. From the fluffy cloud artwork to saving the title track until the end, The Festival might walk us through some thoughtful (if pensive) places at times but leaves us with that ‘singing in the rain’ vibe reminding us to celebrate whenever and wherever we are able.
