Two Northern Virginia-based bands played at the Fillmore in downtown Silver Spring on February 9. Scott Kurt and Memphis 59 and Melodime raised the energy in the house to welcome headliner Montgomery Gentry to the DMV. The crowd’s reaction was just as welcoming. Energy levels were high as they danced as sang along and pointed up to the stage saying, “These guys are great!”

After the show, Alchemical Records met with Scott Kurt, who said, “It’s always a blast and an honor to play at the Fillmore. Tonight there was a great crowd and the band felt like it was really jiving up there. We played well. It felt good and we met a lot of nice people and we can’t wait to come back and do it again.”
Scott Kurt and Memphis 59 just released their new single “I’ll Never Learn” on January 25.
